To be in conformance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and manage the organisation stakeholder’s expectations, internal audit functions should build a strong Quality assurance and improvement program (QAIP). The QAIP program foster on continuous improvement of internal audit processes, through internal and external assessment. At the end of the day, the QAIP program should conclude on the quality of the internal audit activity and lead to recommendations for appropriate improvements.
